Komatsu 845

An all-round forwarder

Komatsu 845

The Komatsu 845 is an all-round machine that is suitable for both thinning and lighter clear cutting. With the 2021 model, it has been updated with news such as new chassis, new engine and new steering system. It is now fully in line with the larger forwards, in a more compact format.

Features

New, slim hood design

The new hood design for the smaller forwarders is more streamlined, with a modern shape. It has the same feeling as the bigger forwarders but in a smaller format.

Powerful engine for great productivity

We have a brand new engine installation conforming to the latest emission legislation (Stage V). It also offers you many other advantages, such as an all new AdBlue system, a new exhaust system and hydraulic tappets.

A crane that makes the job easy

Our forwarder cranes have a unique design and are 100% optimized for Komatsu forwarders. The well-matched combination of machine, crane, hydraulics and grapple provides a forwarder with high productivity and good reliability. The design of the cranes involves a minimum of protruding parts, for example our design of the telescopic arm, which helps to protect the remaining stock in thinning. The hoses are highly protected thanks to the ProTec link, which provides higher reliability.

Flexible load space

The Komatsu 845 has a large bunk characterised by its flexibility and many options. One is FlexGate, the gate that improves visibility and flexes out of the way if struck by the crane. This simplifies loading and minimises the risk of machine damage. Another is FlexBunk, which with its hydraulic height-adjustable stakes and option to widen the bunk provides a high load capacity.

Excellent visibility in all directions

In thinning, it is especially important that the operator has a good overview of both the surrounding forest and where the machine is in relation to each individual tree. That is why the visibility in the Komatsu 845, as in all Komatsu forwarders, is excellent in all directions - over the hood and down towards the wheels as over the load space and tree tops. This allows the operator to feel confident about not damaging remaining trees.
