Komatsu 931XC

Low ground pressure and great stability – regardless of the terrain

Komatsu 931XC

An effective and versatile harvester for anyone working in steep, rugged terrain. The eight-wheel design offers additional stability as well as lower ground pressure, leaving less of a mark on soft ground.

– Choose between three crane lengths: 8.7/10/11 m

– Several productive heads to choose between, for everything from late thinning to final logging.

Ideal for combined assignments

Our versatile machines are flexible all-rounders suitable for anyone who works with both late thinning and lighter final logging.

The agile yet robust design and 230H crane make this harvester incredibly strong even at long reaches. This particular crane is also suitable for heads with multi-tree handling.

The 26.5" wheels pass obstacles in the terrain extremely easily while also being ideal for snowy ground.

Working hydraulics you can depend on

3PS is our innovative hydraulic system that ensures you have the capacity to perform several operations at once – with maximum hydraulic power. For example, you can slew the crane, feed a log and manoeuvre the machine at the same time. If, instead, you are performing tasks that require less power, only parts of the system are used, meaning lower energy losses and thereby lower fuel consumption. An innovation that is good for your wallet, quite simply!

While 3PS is available on all our harvesters, it is particularly useful for final logging as you can perform several operations at the same time.

Low ground pressure and high stability

The XC machines are specially developed for logging in hilly terrain and on soft ground. Thanks to the 8-wheel design, our machines have a lower ground pressure, which makes them more gentle on the ground.

A factor that's also important when operating in demanding conditions is stability. Thanks to the Komatsu-concept, our harvesters have a design that contributes to making them among the most stable harvesters on the market. The XC machines take this one step further, with a double oscillating bogie on the rear frame, which makes sure the machine follows irregularities in the terrain in a smooth and forgiving manner while delivering excellent manoeuvrability in challenging terrain conditions.

Some of our harvester options

For the 931XC, you can choose between the following heads:

Smart Crane Harvesters

Crane operation at its easiest

For a harvester operator, an easily operated crane is important for ensuring a productive working day. With Komatsu Smart Crane, the crane – from the main boom all the way to the tip of the telescopic arm – is controlled with a single, smooth lever movement.

Thanks to the crane’s precision and responsiveness, the operator can easily steer the head where they want it, contributing to a more relaxed way of working. A relaxed operator can keep up a high and steady production during the day and still feel more refreshed at the end of the working day. Advantages that will be seen in both profitability and the operator’s well-being.

MaxiFleet

Leave nothing to chance

Our MaxiFleet digital service is a comprehensive tool that simplifies your working day - regardless of whether your fleet is comprised of one or one hundred forest machines. MaxiFleet helps you to keep track of your machines, collaborate with colleagues and make informed decisions based on facts.

MaxiFleet Precision mindre

Precision

Thanks to developments in the satellite positioning technology GNSS, MaxiFleet can now show the machine’s position to within just a few centimeters, providing the foundation for a new and exciting area, Precision.

There are several useful functions within Precision, like the ability to create exact, digital fences to mark the borders of a work area or around protected areas. It's also easier to classify stems based on environmental considerations with the stem code visualisation tool.
