Komatsu 825TX

The ultimate thinning machine

Komatsu 825TX

Komatsu 825TX is the thinning specialist that is powerful yet compact. Low weight, accessibility and power are examples of features that all contributes to long-term productivity.

Features

New - Smart Crane as option!

Now all our forwarders can be equipped with Smart Crane, with advantages such as simpler crane operation, less physical strain and higher productivity.

Tracking frame

With a tracking frame the tracking deviation is decreased by 50%. That makes the machine easier on the forest floor as it leaves narrower tracks at its minimum turning radius, enabling the operator to take narrower routes between trees. A more agile machine also reduces the risk of damage to standing trees when manoeuvring in tight spaces.

Thinning gate and Thinning bunks

The load area has been optimised for thinning with a special gate and special bunks. Both the gate and the bunks are angled 5 degrees inwards at the top to be as agile as possible in tight spaces. This reduces the risk of hitting standing trees when the machine sways from side to side in uneven terrain.

Excellent visibility in all directions

In thinning, it is especially important that the operator has a good overview of both the surrounding forest and where the machine is in relation to each individual tree. That is why the visibility in the Komatsu 825TX, as in all Komatsu forwarders, is excellent in all directions - over the hood and down towards the wheels as over the load space and tree tops. This allows the operator to feel confident about not damaging remaining trees.

A crane that makes the job easy

Our forwarder cranes have a unique design and are 100% optimized for Komatsu forwarders. The well-matched combination of machine, crane, hydraulics and grapple provides a forwarder with high productivity and good reliability. The design of the cranes involves a minimum of protruding parts, for example our design of the telescopic arm, which helps to protect the remaining stock in thinning. The hoses are highly protected thanks to the ProTec link, which provides higher reliability.
