Komatsu 835TX

Optimal for thinning

Komatsu 835TX

The Komatsu 835TX is optimal for thinning with its accessibility and strength. It is a lightweight forwarder, with high ground clearance and a fuel efficient engine, which all contributes to reducing the environmental impact.

Comfort Ride

The next generation of Komatsu Comfort Ride is here

A forwarder operator spends many hours a day in the cab, making a pleasant and comfortable work environment extremely important. Komatsu Comfort Ride efficiently dampens jolts and vibrations, ensuring an ergonomic work environment. This in turn contributes to higher productivity and better profitability.

The new generation of Komatsu Comfort Ride comes with comfort-enhancing features like adjustable sideways firmness and automatic side levelling at standstill and at low speed. The elevated unloading mode now also works at low speed, to make it smoother to reposition the forwarder at the landing. Great news for all forwarder operators!

Tracking frame

With a tracking frame the tracking deviation is decreased by 50%. That makes the machine easier on the forest floor as it leaves narrower tracks at its minimum turning radius, enabling the operator to take narrower routes between trees. A more agile machine also reduces the risk of damage to standing trees when manoeuvring in tight spaces.

Thinning gate and Thinning bunks

The load area has been optimised for thinning with a special gate and special bunks. Both the gate and the bunks are angled 5 degrees inwards at the top to be as agile as possible in tight spaces. This reduces the risk of hitting standing trees when the machine sways from side to side in uneven terrain.

Excellent visibility in all directions

In thinning, it is extra important that the driver has a good overview of both the surrounding forest and where the machine is in relation to each individual tree. That is why the visibility in the Komatsu 835TX, as in all Komatsu forwarders, is excellent in all directions - as well over the hood and down towards the wheels as over the load space and tree tops. This allows the driver to feel safe not to damage any remaining stock.

New, slim hood design

The new hood design for the smaller forwarders is more streamlined, with a modern shape. It has the same feeling as the bigger forwarders but in a smaller format.

A crane that makes the job easy

Our forwarder cranes have a unique design and are 100% optimized for Komatsu forwarders. The well-matched combination of machine, crane, hydraulics and grapple provides a forwarder with high productivity and good reliability. The design of the cranes involves a minimum of protruding parts, for example our design of the telescopic arm, which helps to protect the remaining stock in thinning. The hoses are highly protected thanks to the ProTec link, which provides higher reliability.
